We brought this 1950s Mitcham home into the present with a new kitchen, laundry and powder room.
Kitchen
We removed the load-bearing wall between the kitchen and dining area, opening the kitchen to the dining and living areas. The new kitchen has custom cabinetry, stone benchtops and integrated appliances. Where the wall came out, we laid new timber boards and stained them to match the original floors.
Laundry and powder room
The old laundry contained asbestos, which was safely removed before work began. We then fitted new laundry cabinetry and replaced the powder room toilet.
